Seminars, Camps and Testing
SeminarsThe United TaeKwon-Do Alliance offers a variety of training seminars for both student and instructors. Students will have the opportunity to learn from a variety of instructors; as the senior instructors and Masters travel the country teaching seminars. Because the UTA recognizes the strengths of all styles, students will have the opportunity to cross train in many styles and systems. From kickboxing to jujitsu to mixed martial arts, our senior instructors will keep you amazed as you participate in their training seminars. By attending UTA seminars, Black Belts and instructors can broaden their base of knowledge and stay on the cutting edge of martial arts by training with a variety of Senior Masters from various systems. You will also have the opportunity to share your knowledge with our instructors; the UTA has an open mind. We feel that if you want to be a great instructor you must always be willing to be a student. Camps
Training camps are an integral part of the development and testing requirements of the UTA member. Training camps are held in various locations around the country, and Black Belts preparing for their next degree should keep in mind that an equal number of training camps are required for the degree being tested for. In other words, if you are preparing for your third degree black belt exam, three training camp credits would be required. TestingStudents are certified at each rank level by the UTA which is the accrediting body for all students, Black Belts, assistant instructors and instructors.
All students are tested at a local testing, usually at their academy. Instructors are encouraged to invite other instructors to be a guest judge at their testing to allow their students the opportunity to meet and get feed back from other instructors. Black Belts are tested on a school level or on a regional level. Black Belts must get permission from their immediate instructor to be approved to test. Students who are the rank level of 1st, 2nd and 3rd Degree Black Belt may also test at a regional testing. These testings are usually offered quarterly. 3rd Degree Black Belts testing for 4th Degree Black Belt are eligible to test at the UTA National testings. All Black Belts must be registered for their testing 30 days prior to their test date. United TaeKwon-Do Alliance |
